TO YOUR MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
ABOUT BLACK DOG PET PHOTOGRAPHY
“WHAT GOT YOU STARTED IN THIS AREA?”
Black Dog Pet Photography got started after moving to Placer County from Napa. Since photography is my area of expertise, and where I am most comfortable, this felt like a no-brainer. And although I have done other jobs since moving to the area, I was driven by my passion for photography to do something I loved. It seemed only natural to couple that with my love of our furry friends.
In Napa I ran and maintained the photography lab at Napa Valley College, due to my knowledge, expertise, work ethic, and the friendly way in which I dealt with students, faculty, and the general public. I wanted to put these skills I have learned over the years to good use, and give you great photographs of your furry friends.
“DO I HAVE TO COME TO YOUR STUDIO?”
One of the main reasons for setting up my business the way I did is for your convenience. My studio is completely portable, I have an area at home that I use as a studio, but I prefer to come to you. The reason for this is that most pets (like people) are more comfortable in their own environment - and it saves you gas, and time, a great benefit to you. Whether you want natural looking outdoor pictures, or more of a formal portrait look, I will accommodate your wishes, I will usually give you a selection of both. If you wish to come to my home studio, you’re more than welcome, or maybe you have a favorite park you would like to go to, it’s your choice.
“WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO CALL?”
Most businesses close their doors at 5 or 6 o’clock, and are open only on weekdays. You can call at any time, night or day, 365 days of the year; although, at 3am in the morning I might not be at my best. Sometimes you may have to speak with the answering machine, as I may be out with our “boy” Ruaridh (Rory) on a nice long walk.
This is our home phone number, so you won’t get some slick salesman answering with a sales pitch, you’ll get a “Hello” instead.
